Staff Profile: Lela Moharram

Lela Moharram

Secondary EAL Teacher

Lela began teaching in 2012, working at an international school in Cairo, Egypt. After gaining additional qualifications, Lela moved to Vietnam in 2015 and began working in EAL at a local language school.

She then cemented her experience at a global UK cultural and language organization, where she gained further qualifications and taught students to excel academically in English. In addition, she enabled students to become global citizens by teaching 21st century skills focused on equality, diversity and digital literacy. She joined BIS as an EAL teacher in 2021.

Outside of the classroom Lela enjoys being active through dance and cycling. She is a certified scuba diver and is happiest by the sea. She enjoys reading and spending time with her beloved pet. Exploring new art, travel and food plays a big role in Lela’s life.
