Staff Profile: Tom Peel

Thomas Peel

English Teacher

BA (Hons) English and Drama, University of Hull, UK

PGCE, Sheffield Hallam University, UK

Tom joined BIS HCMC in 2022 following international roles in Hong Kong and Shanghai as an English and Drama teacher. He received his teaching qualification in 2014 and soon progressed to being a senior leader in inner-city schools. However, he prefers to be in the classroom where he can build strong relationships and weave his love of Literature with elements of Philosophy and Psychology. Tom played semi-professional rugby in Hong Kong's Premiership and won the All China Cup three times with Shanghai RFC. He loves all outdoor sports and can usually be found under the sea or on top of some snow. As a secret nerd, he also enjoys board-games, Dungeons and Dragons and anything else "geeky". Above all, Tom adores his beloved homeland of Yorkshire, curry and most importantly...his dog.
