Staff Profile: Rebecca Cowen

Rebecca Cowen

Geography Teacher

MA Development Education and Global Learning, University of College London, UK

BA (Hons) Human Geography, Sheffield Hallam University, UK

PGCE Secondary Geography, Manchester Metropolitan University, UK

After completing her PCGE in 2011, Rebecca started her teaching career in Manchester, where she worked for three years and became Teaching and Learning leader in the Geography Department, while introducing the Growth Mindset to the curriculum. Rebecca then went on to become Second in Department at Little Lever School, Bolton where she continued her development. After travelling through China in 2014, Rebecca secured a position as Head of House and Teacher of Geography at a British International School in Changzhou, China. Rebecca is currently completing her MA in Development Education and Global Learning at UCL. Rebecca has always loved to travel, including back-packing in Australia, road trips throughout Eastern Europe and trekking in Kenya and Uganda. In her free time, Rebecca is an avid live music fan and attends live music events and music festivals whenever possible. She is a keen runner and handbag enthusiast!
