Assistant Head of Mathematics

BSc (Hons) Mathematics, The University of Nottingham, UK

PGCE Mathematics, Keele University, UK

After gaining a BSc in Mathematics at The University of Nottingham, Ben initially worked as an accountant before deciding on a career in education. Ben went on to teach mathematics for 3 years at The de Ferrers Academy in Burton-on-Trent where he enjoyed teaching a variety of ages as well as coaching the Yr 8 football team. Ben joined BIS in 2012 and his interests include hockey, football and golf, distance running and playing the guitar. Ben loves to discover new foods, watch live music and follow the fortunes of The Mighty Potters, Stoke City FC.
