Alastair Thom

Head of Secondary PE

I believe that PE is vastly important. Not only does it developing physical health and well being, new techniques and skills but most importantly promotes life skills such as determination, adaptability, communication and teamwork. All students of all ages should be given as many opportunities as possible to experience different sports and challenges to develop into lifelong participants.

BA(HONS) Physical Education with Qualified Teacher Status

Alastair qualified in 2009 and taught Physical Education to High School aged students in Northumberland. Prior to moving to Vietnam he also spent a year teaching English in South Korea. In his career Alastair has taught a variety of year groups and been heavily involved in the organisation of extra curricular activities. Alastair enjoys a variety of sports, mainly football and rugby. He enjoys traveling and going to see live music.
