Georgie joined BIS HCMC in August 2022. After qualifying as a teacher in 2008 and spending 4 years working in a variety of schools in the North West of England, she moved to London to work in an inner London school in Chelsea. After gaining experience as 2nd in Department and Head of Girls' PE, and Deputy Head of House, she moved to another inner London school where she was Head of Year for 7 years. During this time, she championed girls' participation in sport and was involved in a number of extra-curricular sports such as football, basketball, rounders, athletics and netball. She believes in a holistic approach to PE and sport where everyone can grow, learn and succeed. Through sport we have a unique opportunity to challenge ourselves mentally and physically and build on skills that we can use in all aspects of our lives such as resilience, determination, teamwork and teamwork.
Outside of school her passions are travel, fitness and finding ways to challenge herself personally. Her proudest achievement to date is climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in 2019, she is keen to explore what Vietnam and the surrounding areas can offer in terms of outdoor and adventurous activities.
