Staff Profile: Sean O’Neill

Sean O'Neil

Head Teacher, Secondary Campus

Sean joined BIS Ho Chi Minh City in 2014 after a successful 11-year career in the UK state sector. Throughout this time, Sean gained a rich breadth of leadership experiences spanning leadership of Academic departments, Whole School Learning Support provision and Sixth Form prior to embarking on his Senior Leadership career in 2011.  Sean’s Senior leadership roles have encompassed responsibility for all aspects of Teaching and Learning, and since 2016 he has been Deputy Head at BIS HCMC with responsibility for Welfare & Guidance. Sean completed the NAE Senior Leadership Programme in 2016 and is a BSO Level 2 inspector.

In his spare time, Sean is an enthusiastic if limited guitarist and enjoys reading history and politics as well as following the fortunes of Tottenham Hotspur FC.
