Early Years and Infant Campus Community Service

The significance of community is integral to the educational ethos of the British International School, HCMC, with a strong emphasis being placed on developing service learning opportunities that encourage students to be conscious and active members of their community.

  • EY&I Community Service - BIS HCMC
  • EY&I Community Service - BIS HCMC
  • EY&I Community Service - BIS HCMC

The Community Service Programme has over 40 projects spanning the entire student population of the school from our youngest children in the Foundation Stages to senior students in Year 13 (ages 2-18 years), integrating a range of planned community service activities throughout the curriculum.  During the school year, all EY&IC students participate in a Community Service Project which is allocated by year group and which involves collaboration with our community partners, as the children engage in playdates or school and lesson exchanges.  Through these interactions, students develop communication and social skills as well as caring, reflective and empathetic characteristics concurrent with the mission statement of BIS,HCMC.  In addition, the year group projects are complimented by a full and vibrant schedule of co-curricular activities, all of which continue to focus on students donating time and energy as they develop relationships, rather than on fundraising.
