IGCSE possible option choices

27 January 2016

Dear Y9 Parents and Students,

As you may be aware, in February we will be going through the process of making choices of IGCSE option subjects. Whilst English, Maths, Science and Polish are compulsory subjects, students will have choices from the other subjects. You will receive a course guide with detailed information about the different subjects at IGCSE level and your child will receive lots of advice on making the decisions. On 24th February we will be holding an Options Evening for you and your child in order to introduce the different subject options. This will also be the ideal opportunity for you and your child to discuss further with the Heads of Department of each subject.

However, right now we need to look at the structure of the options to maximise student choice. To do this, it would be very useful if you could give an early indication of possible preferences by selecting the FOUR most likely subjects that you might want to choose for IGCSE from the list below. At least one must be a language.  Please note that this is NOT in any way a definite commitment by you or your child to choosing a subject and is NOT a definite commitment by the school to offering a particular subject or combination of subjects. It is just an early indication to help us structure the actual choices which we will be offering in February.
