Appearance is a crucial part of how people perceive one another.

...and hair is something that is a big part of our appearance, at times it can even make us more unique and identifiable. Many girls my age value their hair a lot and cannot see themselves without it. This is partially why I am going to donate my hair.

I want to give up something which is quite dear to me, because I want to be able to let go of things. In my opinion it is important to realise that hair is just an asset of you and it should not identify you as a person.

Moreover, I have encountered cancer in my own family and I have seen the distress and the pain one has to go through. This is why I am willing to do at least something to help those poor children.

My hair is much more valuable for other people, who are going through horrible times, than for me who can easily grow it back. Therefore, I am going to donate my hair and I urge everyone to do so too.

The foundation is called Fundacja Przyjaźni and they help provide wigs for sick children battling cancer.

This helps prevent social exclusion from their peers and aims to improve their mental wellbeing.

In the jot form you will find a link to the foundation which states their mission statement and instructions for preparing the hair - Mr Mitchell will be in touch with further details to those that sign u
