Celebration of Reading

While having a Physics lesson today, a voice from the speaker said “stop doing everything and READ!”.

My students and I were not quite sure if reading past exam physics questions meets the criteria of reading or if we should actually open a textbook to be on a safe side.  Or perhaps we all should have had a favourite textbook with us to read at this moment. Would listening to an e-book on a computer or mobile phone be classified as “reading” as well?  What if I don’t have a favourite book with me or if I simply don’t have one at all?

Regardless of such questions, we are glad to be celebrating reading at the British School Warsaw, so important when all electronic gadgets seem to take over.  So make sure that you read something over the weekend: a book or a newspaper, a fiction or a non-fiction, a prose or a poem and please encourage others to do the same!
