It was wonderful to see so many new and familiar faces! We enjoyed chatting with everyone who stopped by our stand for a cuppa. A special shout-out goes out to everyone who wore PTA shirts- it was great to see so much aqua! If you are interested in receiving a shirt, please join us at our upcoming Volunteer Fair.
Over the summer, the PTA used the proceeds of last year’s book fair to purchase highly-requested books for the Secondary library. This week some of the older members of our Petit PTA had a great time sorting, stamping, and shelving the new titles. This was all made possible by your generosity, and the students will enjoy your gift for years to come.
Jumpers, lunch bags, and shoes, oh my! The year’s first lost property layout was held this week. Throughout the day, students had the chance to reunite with items lost or forgotten last school term. After school, parents were given the opportunity to doublecheck for any misplaced items. If you recognize anything in our pictures, please contact us as soon as possible. Any unclaimed, unlabeled items will be donated to charity shortly.
Finally, next week the PTA will be holding a Volunteer Fair on Wednesday, 18 September from 8:30am in the IB Canteen. Parents with all interest backgrounds, time availabilities, and languages are encouraged to attend! Our working groups will be introduced, and the heads will be there to answer any of your questions. We are in particular need of people willing to work in our marketing/communications group. If you enjoy writing, graphic design, or social media, please join us Wednesday. There is no experience necessary and the work can be done from home at your convenience.
