Where are you from originally?
Inverness in the north of Scotland
Have you lived in any other countries?
Yes. I lived in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates for four years before moving to Warsaw. I have also lived in Switzerland and Germany.
What did you study and where?
I studied German (MA) at the University of St. Andrews, Primary Teaching (PGDE) at the University of Aberdeen, and studied my Masters in Early Years Education M.Ed) at the University of Aberdeen.
How long have you been at TBS?
I started working at TBS in August 2020
What do you enjoy most about teaching at our school?
The welcoming and kind nature of the pupils, families and staff.
What are you most looking forward to in the 2020/2021 academic year?
Lots of things both inside and outside of school. In school I am looking forward to seeing the children developing their learning and achieving their goals, enabling them to become confident individuals. Outside of school I am looking forward to being able to travel to see my family at the end of the academic year.
Who is your favourite historian/scientist/literary figure and why?
Rabbie (Robert) Burns – his writing is emotional and always brings a connection to home
What is your favourite thing about living in Warsaw?
The green parks and the Christmas lights!
What do you miss most from home?
My friends and family, and freshwater scallops, black pudding and tattie scones!
