BISW Students Once Again Exceed Global Average in International Baccalaureate BISW students have once again achieved strong results in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Our average score of 34.5 is 15% higher than the IB global average, widening the gap between ourselves and other IB schools around the world.

BISW students have once again achieved strong results in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Our average score of 34.5 is 15% higher than the IB global average, widening the gap between ourselves and other IB schools around the world.

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, commonly referred to as the IBDP, is a two-year education programme for students age 16-19. The programme is a widely accepted and recognised qualification for entry into higher education and universities worldwide. To learn more about the International Baccalaureate at IB Programme

 

  • Our students' average score in the IB Diploma was 34.5, significantly ahead of the 2017 global average of 29.95 points.
  • Our students’ IB Diploma pass rate was 95% against a normal worldwide average of between 79-80% (the actual percentage is not given by the IB until all remarks are completed)
  • 5% of our students achieved 40 points and above.  This is the level of attainment commonly required to gain admission to the world's elite universities, such as Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard and Stanford.
  • One student achieved 44 points out of a maximum 45 points, scoring among the top 0.85% of all IB candidates globally.
