Carolyn Bulter

Primary School Teacher

Carolyn's teaching career has taken her around the world, teaching a wide range of ages from Early Years to Primary, Secondary and adults.

Growing up in Malaysia, I was inspired to teach by a wonderful Primary teacher. Fast forward many years and I qualified with a BSc(Hons) from Loughborough University, followed by a Post Graduate Teaching Certificate from Avery Hill Teacher Training College in London.

My teaching experiences include instructing as a Captain in the Royal Army Educational Corps, as an English as an Additional Language teacher and as a class teacher for my three children.

I have enjoyed connecting with people from around the world and I am delighted to be in DC with my husband and to have the privilege to teach at BISW alongside so many talented teachers. I have been a floating teacher since 2016, allowing class teachers time out of their classroom for professional development.

I love teaching as it is such a vibrant profession and appreciate the community of fellow teachers, parents and at the heart of it, the students.
