A little bit about me, I was born in Solihull UK, but would always class myself as a Birmingham born, ‘Brummie’.
I graduated with my PGCE in Primary Education from Birmingham City University in 2013 and started working as a Primary teacher in within the area. After a short time, I had the opportunity to work in The Netherlands at a British school based in The Hague. Working there, I felt part of the international community and saw all the strengths an international/British education can provide children.
I decided to take a big leap across the ocean, and here I am. I’m very excited to join the British International School of Washington, and I am looking forward to getting to know the children and families who are part of our school and the wider community.
I hope that all the children in our school foster a true love of learning and are happy and enthusiastic learners.
Outside of school I enjoy long walks, canoeing, and attending theatre productions.
