Once again, Regents was proudly represented — not by one, but by two ambitious students — Kseniia and Vaibhav (Year 12), who embraced the challenge and spirit of innovation at MIT.
The week began with the MIT Puzzle Hunt, an engaging activity that encouraged curiosity, collaboration, and problem-solving as students worked in teams to tackle complex puzzles.
Throughout the week, students participated in STEAM workshops that ranged from glass moulding and wood carving to an immersive session at the MIT.nano Immersion Lab, where they explored nanotechnology using a 28-camera motion capture system. These experiences allowed students to connect scientific principles to real-world applications in exciting and tangible ways.
One of the most impactful activities was the Climate Action Simulation, where students assumed roles representing industries such as coal, transportation, and renewable energy. This exercise provided a deeper understanding of the intricate balance between science, policy, and human behavior in global climate negotiations.
The program also featured TIM Talks, a student panel discussion, and Koch Fellows Lightning Talks, offering insights into cutting-edge research in cancer treatment and beyond. Another highlight was the Zero Gravity Project, where students pitched innovative ideas for space applications—an inspiring glimpse into the future of exploration.
Beyond academics, the trip included memorable moments of fun and bonding: a Duck Boat tour of Boston, lively meals at the Cheesecake Factory, and an adventurous team-building experience at Boda Borg.
