With great excitement and sportsmanship, the long-awaited Saint George Cup 2025 came to a close after bringing together more than 26 schools from across the country in a vibrant celebration of athletics, community, and formative values. Over several days, the Saint George School campus became the stage for thrilling competitions in basketball, soccer, and volleyball, making this year’s tournament one to remember.

The opening ceremony was a meaningful and emotional moment. It featured school authorities, representatives from the Parents’ Association, coaches, athletes, sponsors, and alumni. Head of School Karina Pablo de Redman and Marketing, Admissions & Communications Director Carmen Minaya reaffirmed the core values that define this tournament: discipline, passion, teamwork, fair play, respect, enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and integrity.

The Core Values

A particularly inspiring moment was the participation of Deborah Kriesi Martínez, former SGS student and soccer team captain, who shared her journey as an athlete and entrepreneur, encouraging students to pursue their goals with determination.

The symbolic first plays were carried out by special guests Eng. Rafael Uribe, Lic. Junior Páez, Lic. Carlos Ramírez, and Mr. Wilson Sánchez, officially kicking off the tournament.

Throughout the competition, the Saint George School courts were filled with energy, teamwork, and true fair play. Students gave their all in every match, cheered on by their coaches, peers, and families. It was a celebration of youth talent, unity, and respect where each game reflected the values that guide our educational mission.
