Early Years (3 to 6 years)

Early Years at Our School

Students from the age of 3 up to 6 years, in classes KG2, KG3, KG4, and Infants Class (Kindergarten) learn and play in both individual classrooms by level and also in our communal Early Years facility, where children share activities across a range of free-flowing learning areas.

Our Learning Approach

At our school, children learn in an atmosphere where they are free to explore and inquire at their own pace, through a play-based, child-led curriculum. Our small class sizes enable individualised teaching where we foster a love of learning.

Our leading-edge facilities

Early Years children at NAIS Dublin have access to a wide range of purpose-built facilities, both indoors and outdoors, including dance and drama studios, a music and arts room, library and nature space. Our large indoor space, Tír n nÓg ('Land of the Young' in the Irish language), provides opportunities for children to work collaboratively. Wrap-around care is available through a breakfast club, co-curricular activities, and after school care and transport. Every day we prepare hot, healthy meals for our children.

Our teachers

Guided by a team of experienced, qualified teachers and support staff, children engage in the Primary Years IB Programme. Specialist lessons are provided in languages, music, art, dance, and PE, fostering links with the Juilliard School of Performing Arts and MIT.
