The IB Primary Years Programme

Ages 6 - 11

From ages 6 - 11, your child will follow the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). As part of expanding their international education, this concept-based approach to learning through inquiry will foster a deeper understanding of the world. The six transdisciplinary themes emphasised in PYP are:

  • Who we are
  • Where we are in place and time
  • How the world works
  • How we organise ourselves
  • Sharing the planet
  • Science

Through these six transdisciplinary themes, your child will develop skills, knowledge and understanding in:

  • Social Studies
  • Physical, social and personal education
  • Arts
  • Languages
  • Mathematics
  • Technology

By experiencing and challenging concept-based curriculum, they will discover how to apply their learning to a range of real-life situations.
