Lorena Verge was born and raised in a coastal city in the north of the Valencian Region in Spain. Since she was a child she was persuaded by her father’s passion for sports and teaching. Ms Verge graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences in 2015 from the University of Valencia. One year after, she studied a Master’s Degree in Education, specialized in Physical Education, at the same university.

It was in Spain where she started her career as PHE Teacher. Lorena pursues creating, in all pupils, a lifelong engagement with the practice of physical activity and a healthy lifestyle, as well as learning through the game life transferable skills and values, such as respect, cooperation or inclusion, among many others.

During her career she has also been involved in co-curricular activities such as, teaching swimming, Zumba and other Fitness activities. She also has experience in working with people with special needs, immersing them into the practice of physical activity to improve their quality of life. This was one of her most gratifying and fulfilling experiences, as every small step made a positive impact in each individual’s life.

In her free time she loves travelling, swimming, hiking and dancing. She is also a fitness enthusiastic and as a recent hobby, she enjoys surfing in the west coast of Ireland. During winter time, she never misses a ski getaway with friends or family.
