Primary Teacher

Melanie is a Primary teacher at NAIS Dublin. She is originally from Connecticut, USA and became passionate about education after finishing her degree and moving abroad several years ago.

Melanie first taught EAL in Buenos Aires, Argentina to both adults and children. She then moved to Madrid, Spain and began teaching in bilingual schools at both primary and early years levels. She took various courses in bilingual education and has been a Cambridge speaking examiner for several years as well. She is fluent in Spanish and last year completed her Master of Education in International Education. Melanie is eager to put into practice what she learned in her masters programme and see the PYP in action. She has always strived to provide a creative, innovative, and collaborative learning environment for her students.

Melanie also has a BA in International Relations and in her free time she enjoys traveling, immersing herself in new cultures, speaking Spanish, spending time at the beach, and writing.
