    Leif Magne Mariussen

    Leif has a number of qualifications including an MA in Authorial Illustration from Falmouth University and MSc in Digital Media Production with a focus on 3D motion capture from Oxford Brookes University.  He has had a varied and interesting career and even managed his own 3D design company in Oxford.

    Rita Bateson

    Prior to joining NAIS Dublin, Rita held the position of Head of Mathematics at the International School of Hamburg. She is the author of the Mathematics for the MYP by Concept series, so is a curriculum expert (having literally written the books on it!) Before that, Rita worked at the IB as Senior Curriculum Manager, responsible for Mathematics and Sciences across the programmes. Having lived and breathed the International Baccalaureate for many years, she has also written her own IB Learner profile.

    Shannon Walsh

    Shannon Walsh graduated with a Biology, Mathematics and Education degree from Queen’s University, in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, where she also played five years on the varsity volleyball team, and sat for two years as co-president of the Varsity Student Council. Upon graduation, her travel bug kicked in, and she set out to explore the world to experience the varying cultures, languages, and learning opportunities that international education has to offer.

    Ciara O'Donoghue

    Ciara O'Donoghue has over nine years of international teaching experience. She has taught in international schools in Abu Dhabi, Paris, Lilongwe (Malawi), Dili (Timor-Leste) and in Greystones. Her primary focus in all her years of teaching has been student wellbeing and mental health for which she is completing an M.Sc in Children and Young People’s Mental Health and Psychological Practice with the University of Edinburgh.

    David Rafferty

    David Rafferty has been with NAIS Dublin since the very beginnining, when he joined our primary teaching staff. 

    David has been a member of NAIS Dublin’s secondary teaching staff since August 2020. He has a dual role teaching Business Management to our Diploma Programme students, as well as Individuals and Societies to our MYP students.  He studied Business and Management at the Dublin Institute of Technology, after which he ventured to Spain and Italy to teach English as an additional language and to experience vibrant cultures not too far from home.
