Ciara O'Donoghue

Performing Arts Teacher and Student Support

Ciara O'Donoghue has over nine years of international teaching experience. She has taught in international schools in Abu Dhabi, Paris, Lilongwe (Malawi), Dili (Timor-Leste) and in Greystones. Her primary focus in all her years of teaching has been student wellbeing and mental health for which she is completing an M.Sc in Children and Young People’s Mental Health and Psychological Practice with the University of Edinburgh.

Ciara practices yoga and mindfulness and likes to incorporate these elements into her teaching. She is passionate about the arts and the opportunities they present for students to express themselves in different ways, and to transcend difficulties in their lives.

As well as teaching dance and drama, Ciara is a lover of music and has performed in bands, with choirs and in musical theatre productions. She loves adventure and travel and in the past years has completed an 11,000km road trip around Southern Africa, studied yoga in India, trekked the Annapurna Circuit and made it to Everest Base Camp.
