Individuals & Societies/ Economics Teacher/ CAS Coordinator/ Assistant Head of Secondary (Pastoral)

Claire is a graduate of The University of Waikato, New Zealand where she achieved a Bachelor of Social Sciences and a Bachelor of Education. After teaching in New Zealand, the urge to see the world inspired her to move to China to begin her career in international education. Claire taught in Tianjin, China and Vientiane, Laos before moving to Hamburg, Germany where she spent the last six years. She has been involved in many aspects of education, most recently as the Career-related Programme Coordinator in Hamburg. She is a strong advocate for the benefits of service learning and as such has been involved in service programmes in her previous schools.

Claire has been involved in the International Baccalaureate in many capacities including as an examiner and a workshop leader. She is currently the Principal Examiner for MYP Geography and enjoys working in collaboration with educators from around the world. 

Claire enjoys outdoor activities such as bush walking and water-skiing. She enjoys yoga and rugby.
