David Rafferty

David Rafferty, TLA and Primary EAL Teacher

DP Business Management and MYP Individuals and Societies Teacher

David Rafferty has been with NAIS Dublin since the very beginnining, when he joined our primary teaching staff.

David has been a member of NAIS Dublin’s secondary teaching staff since August 2020. He has a dual role teaching Business Management to our Diploma Programme students, as well as Individuals and Societies to our MYP students.  He studied Business and Management at the Dublin Institute of Technology, after which he ventured to Spain and Italy to teach English as an additional language and to experience vibrant cultures not too far from home.

He is passionate about encouraging students to think critically, with open-minded discussions and debates key components of both of his subjects. He believes that, with the abundance of information available online, it is more important than ever for students to be able to discern fact from fiction.

In his free time, David enjoys cinema, soccer and reading, as well as photography and videography – and can often be found outside with his drone in his hands!
