Lara Gregori

Lara Gregori

Language and Literature Teacher

Originally from North East Italy, Lara Gregori lived in Singapore for fourteen years and in 2019 she moved to Ireland with her family.

Lara’s love for languages and literature began when she was very young. She went on to study Modern Languages and Literatures, majoring in English Literature with a thesis on literary criticism.

Lara holds a Master’s Degree in Modern Languages and Literatures (English, German, Italian), a Master’s Degree in Translation and Interpretation and a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics. She has worked as a Language and Literature teacher for the last eight years and cooperated with several international schools in Singapore, China and Indonesia.

In Singapore, Lara also taught at the Italian Supplementary School and the Italian Cultural Institute, as well as in a corporate environment.  She was responsible for the Home Language Programs in several international schools, for the Italian language.

Having lived and taught in an international environment, Lara is particularly interested in language acquisition and multilingualism in the context of Third Culture Kids education. She wrote a thesis on language and cultural acquisition for TCK. She has substantial experience in the DP program having taught literature and language (Language A and Language B) both at Standard and High Level.

Lara has been involved in the IB as a Language A examiner and, when needed, she was in charge of preparing the exam material.

In her spare time Lara enjoys yoga and outdoor activities such as walking, gardening and cross-country skiing; she has a passion for writing and botanical illustrations in watercolour.

She is delighted to be a part of the NAIS Dublin team.
