Secondary STEM School Teacher at Nord Anglia International School

Leif has a number of qualifications including an MA in Authorial Illustration from Falmouth University and MSc in Digital Media Production with a focus on 3D motion capture from Oxford Brookes University.  He has had a varied and interesting career and even managed his own 3D design company in Oxford.

After teaching in Norway for a number of years at both the secondary school and university levels across several STEM subjects including 3D, design, programming and maths, Leif is passionate about new technologies that engage students to think creatively about how they can influence society as digital leaders of the future. Central to this idea is enabling a classroom experience with the latest developments in technology spanning VR, 3D visualisation, to using math and computer science to learn about computational thinking through programming and applying digital skills.

Since moving to Ireland in 2015 with his family, Leif has been volunteering to run STEAM activity days for pupils in Secondary Schools in Dublin and engaging in Dublin Maker events with his 3D printer that he built from scratch.

In his spare time he enjoys experimenting with and programming microcontrollers while using his 3D printer to design robots to take on new challenges both in the classroom and at home.
