Mother Tongue Lessons

Students are encouraged to continue learning in their mother tongue during their time at PBIS.

Studying in your mother tongue has a wide variety of benefits. While PBIS teaches lessons in English, we help students to keep up the use of their mother tongue.

We provide lessons for students whose mother tongue is not English or Czech. These also develop the student’s understanding of themes relevant to their homeland.

In Years 12 and 13, students must study two languages as part of the IB Diploma programme. One of these must be their best language, which is often their mother tongue.
