Last places available in our Early Years Centre for children aged 2.5-6!
Last month students of year 6 were writing their own persuasive letter.
Their first step to writing a persuasive letter, was choosing a side either, for students going to school or against leaving the virtual classroom and returning to school. We are proud of the students working hard on their persuasive letters.
Many kids had great ideas and most showed great examples of their persuasive letter. The students worked for half an hour to complete their first draft and 20 minutes to complete their final.
This is one of the paragraphs that a student wrote:
“I think it is better for the children because they don’t have to look at screens all day and they won’t get distracted by things in their homes. And they are all probably stressed and missing their friends.”
An alternative argument was “I think that students should stay at home because what if they get COVID-19 or if their parents or grandparents get it? If you open the school with one person, it could spread to the whole school, then the country.”

This week we have celebrated children’s rights across the school to mark the 34th anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
