Last week the UK Defence Attaché, Group Captain David Houghton, visited BIS to talk to our students during a special and thought-provoking Remembrance Assembly.
A poignant community project with a focus on some of the characteristics like Global Citizenship, Reflection, Respect and Care takes on extra meaning at this time of year, with the message of peace throughout.
Thank you to the students from the community art ECA who designed and created a wonderful backdrop, the Sixth Form students who volunteered to run the poppy sales, the Year 9 History class who took part in the Assembly, the Year 5 students who helped to raise awareness in Primary and last but certainly not least the Secondary and teacher choir, who performed not only at the Assembly but also at Cua Bac Church over the weekend for the UK and Commonwealth Remembrance Service organized by the British Embassy.
A total of VND 9,384,000 was raised for the Royal British Legion to help servicemen and women who have served and made the sacrifice to help change our world to make it a better, safer place to live.
