Ms. Gemma Archer, was born and educated in the UK. As part of her lifelong learning, she is reading towards a MSc in Systems Thinking in Practice. Gemma has been responsible for leading Geography departments and coordinating Approaches to Teaching and Learning to develop and embed learning skills across curriculum phases in different international school contexts.
As a classroom practitioner Gemma is passionate about her subject. She has a keen interest in evidence-informed strategies that support students to be independent and effective learners. She promotes the importance of enquiry-based learning and reflecting on occasional failures to support growth.
To support her wellbeing, Gemma takes any opportunity she can to explore the natural world around her through travel and hiking; she is often caught exclaiming at the wonder of a lava field or the beauty of a coastline and the processes that created it. She enjoys yoga, reading, singing, walking and getting lost amongst the hems.
