Rob Taylor earned his BA QTS, in Physical Education from the University of Southampton. He enjoys keeping fit and participating in most sport, and in his younger days played semi-professional soccer for Havant and Waterlooville FC, in the Southern Conference league.
Rob has worked in a variety of different schools in England as a PE teacher, Head of PE and Director of Sport. His first job was in a high school in the midlands where he stayed for five years. He continued his love of playing soccer and cricket for Uttoxeter Town. He then moved to progress his career further by taking up the Director of Sport position at a large secondary school in the South of England whilst teaching his second subject Maths. After meeting his now wife, they then moved back to the midlands where he took up another Head of Physical Education position in a middle school (years 5-8).
In 2010 Rob joined the British International School of Washington as Head of PE which quickly developed into the Director of Sport. In 2016 he took up the role as the Assistant Head of Upper Secondary focusing on student well-being whilst trying to explore a wide range of learning experiences for 14-16 year old students.
Rob is a proud parent to two boys and his family enjoy traveling and experiencing different cultures. He is a firm believer that "traveling broadens the mind".
