Head of Year 9 / English Teacher / Growing Minds Coordinator

Sonia Gilbert - BA (QTS)

Sonia gained a BA honours degree in English from the University of Central England, after which she completed the GTP programme at Newman University.

She has since gained 12 years of teaching experience, as well as being a Head of Faculty, Professional Trainer for Initial Teacher Training and supervising newly qualified teachers.

Sonia has a passion for high quality teaching and learning and has been involved in delivering training to schools on embedding literacy across the curriculum. She has also focused on training and developing teachers new to the profession, during her career.

She moved to Thailand in 2018, to be part of Regents International School and is excited to be part of such a unique and diverse community. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling with her family, writing and doing charity work in her local community.
