Roisin Ray holds a BA (Hons) in English and American Literature from the University of Manchester and a PGCE in English (Secondary) from Manchester Metropolitan University.
Her academic strengths are renaissance literature, post-colonial literature and language and cultural theory. Prior to completing her PGCE, Roisin worked as an EFL teacher at summer camps in the UK and Russia. Since 2006, she has been teaching in the UK, at secondary schools in Manchester, Bristol and Eastbourne, East Sussex.
She particularly enjoys teaching creative writing and literature and in metacognitive approaches to learning. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, meeting new people and live music.
