Their commitment to all aspects of their education is a wonderful thing to witness and be part of.
One of the great things about an international community is how we learn about each other’s countries, cultures and festivals. Chinese New Year is a very important time as we appreciate so many special things about our host nation: the food, the music, the decorations and of course, the fireworks! Whilst we can read about other cultures, actually experiencing them first hand is a far more powerful learning experience and one which helps us truly connect with people from across the world.
Following the break we look forward to a number of events. Some of the highlights include:
- Our first Middle School Production, Annie, which will hit the stage on 19th and 20th February
- Reception Fashion Show on 28th February
- Daddy Daughter Dance on 1st March
- Book Week which will take place from 3rd March
- Careers Fair on 14th March
….plus of course all the regular trips, sporting events and day to day lessons which contribute to such a vibrant environment.
To all members of our community, whether you are staying in Shanghai for Chinese New Year or travelling further afield I wish you an enjoyable and peaceful holiday.
Xin Nian Kuai Le!
