NAIS Pudong parent, Fiorella Lamberti, kindly took the place of usual conductor, Mr Bevan Graham, showing great skill and panache to lead the choir through their piece, although she commented after the performance, “They really did it all themselves. They are amazing.”
The choir was introduced by Head of Secondary, Mrs Dinah Hawtree, who took the opportunity to mention our school’s commitment to service, noting that all of Secondary and Year 6 are currently on their Project Week trips, making a difference in communities throughout China. She also spoke of our collaboration with The Juilliard School and the importance of the performing arts.
NAIS Pudong was a proud sponsor of the event which raises very significant funds each year for charities which our school community also supports, including Shanghai Sunrise, Heart to Heart and Lifeline. Also supporting the day were many of our own school parents, making a real splash in the fashion stakes and getting into the spirit of the day.
