Dear Parents,

What a wonderful week we have had here in Early Years and Primary!

We began the week getting in the Christmas spirit by watching the dress rehearsal of the Early Years’ ‘The Nativity’ on Monday morning. The primary students made an absolutely fantastic audience and watched, in awe, our youngest students perform brilliantly on the stage. I was also very lucky to watch the ‘official’ performance again on Tuesday morning, to which all our Early Years parents were invited. I think the children performed even more spectacularly on Tuesday and it was clear to see the proud faces of many parents eagerly taking photos and videos of their children. A big thank you to the Early Years teachers and TAs, as well as Mr and Mrs Bailey, who have spent a lot of time preparing the children for their performance.

Tuesday morning also saw Year 3 present their Exit Point of their topic ‘Inventions that changed the world’ to their parents. We had lots of inventors and scientists on the Year 3 corridor explaining to their guests what they had been learning about during their topic and showcasing some inventions of their own. The students did a fantastic job of speaking confidently and with understanding about their work to all of their visitors.

Yesterday evening of course was our Carol Concert event, and it was wonderful to see our very own Rainbow Review and Cantabella choirs perform on stage. I was immensely proud of all of them and how well they performed on stage to our packed auditorium.

Next week is the turn of our Infant students and their performance of ‘Lights, Camel, Action!’ This promises to be a highly entertaining show, that you don’t want to miss! We also have our last Parent Workshop of the term, focused on the topic of Reading; our Christmas themed STEAM day and our Christmas Parties to look forward to. It will definitely be an action and fun packed week!

Best wishes,

Lisa Passante
