In English this week, the children will continue to develop their persuasive skills to write a letter to suggest ways of protecting historical landmarks and tourist attractions around the world. The children will be encouraged to include a range of punctuation marks, adjectives and conjunctions.

We hope parents found the Reading and Phonics workshop during the coffee morning helpful. If you require any further support, please contact your child's class teacher.

In Mathematics, the children will begin learning their 3 times tables and continue to practice their 2, 5 and 10 times tables.

This week the children will begin to measure and record different lengths. They will use non-standard and standard measures to record their work. The children will be given time to make estimations and explain their working out through problem solving.

The Personal Goal we will be focusing on this week is 'Enquiry'.

As 'Geographers' the children will continue to look at the air quality in Shanghai. They will work in groups to create a barometer. The children will observe the weather over a period of time and then collate the results and discuss them.

As 'Artists' the children will use powder paints to create their own pictures of the Shanghai skyline. The children will look at past and present images of Shanghai to capture different aspects of the skyline and how it has changed.
