Another Global Campus competition that recently took place was the Creative Writing competition and we are very pleased to announce that NAIS Pudong had a runners-up entry and a winning entry. Congratulations to Megan Watson who took a runners-up position and James Cartwright who was named as one of the winning entries. Both students’ work will be available to read on our Global Campus website, with James’ piece of writing also being published in the anthology of creative writing. Both students very proudly read out their narratives this morning in our primary assembly.
Other exciting news this week was the opening of our new Giraffe class in Early Years. Due to the popularity of our Early Years unit we have opened the Giraffe class which is a combination of Pre-Nursery 2 and Nursery students. Whilst this is currently a small class, this is likely to grow a little more during the term. A warm welcome to Mrs Chauhan, our Giraffe class teacher, who is already a familiar face at NAIS Pudong. We are ensuring our new students get to meet all of our existing Pre-Nursery and Nursery students by spending time with them each day in both lessons and play times.
Next week, on Wednesday 13th April, we will be hosting our Primary Coffee Mornings. Early Years and Infants Coffee Morning will take place from 9.00am to 10.00am and Juniors Coffee Morning from 10.30am to 11.30am. We will be providing parents with information regarding the term ahead, including important dates and events. Our Coffee Mornings taking place in May will focus on transition, in particular Reception into Year 1, Year 2 into Year 3 and Year 6 into Year 7. More information on this will be distributed nearer the time. Our Coffee Mornings are also a time for parents to ask any questions they may have about the remainder of the year, so please do come along if there is anything you are unsure of. I look forward to talking with everyone next week.
