Message from Secondary - 24th March

24 三月 2017

It has been a fabulous Shakespeare Week which ended on a high today with lots of our students dressing up in creative Shakespearean costumes! Students have enjoyed submitting Shakespearean sonnets and insults to their English teachers, looking for the hidden figure of William Shakespeare around the school as well as some lunch time performances. Please check out our Facebook page for images of Shakespeare dress up day!

This week has seen our students make their final preparations for two important events next week; our school production of Into the Woods and our Year 13 IB Art Exhibition. We hope that you have your tickets for Into the Woods as some nights are now sold out! However, the IB Art Exhibition is an open invitation, taking place on Wednesday 29th in the C block foyer from 4-6pm. We hope to see you there!

It was great to see many Year 12 parents attend the ‘Assessment in IB’ meeting on Tuesday evening. We hope that you found it useful in supporting the learning that your children are undertaking. We will be advertising more workshops for parents very soon.

We would like to congratulate four of our IB students on their selection for the Nord Anglia Global Goals summit taking place in New York in July. They will have an amazing week with more than 70 students from other Nord Anglia schools. You can read more about the trip here, and see articles from Fernanda and Benedicte.

We have been lucky to have Pret-a-Portrait taking photos of our students this week. They have commented on how well behaved and friendly our students have been, so a big congratulations to everyone for making them feel so welcome. We look forward to seeing the photos very soon!

We hope to see you at the show and the exhibition next week. Best wishes for a wonderful weekend,

Carol Camargo and Therese Andrews
