Information and Reminders
- We have started to wear our summer uniform. Please make sure your child wears the correct uniform to school, particularly the correct footwear. They must look smart. We will continue to monitor this closely.
- Please make sure you also let the class teacher know if your child’s end of day arrangements have been changed so there is no confusion.
- Please make sure your child brings a water bottle to school.
- Reading challenge – You need to sign and date your child’s learning journal 3 times in one week after you have heard them read then they will receive a Dojo point. If children are not reading regularly at home then they will attend lunchtime reading club on a Friday. We hope for your support!

3B – Gwenn for becoming a more independent learner.
3C – Sam for consistent efforts with reading at school and at home.
In English we will read the story of ‘The Magic School Bus and the Electric Field Trip’. We will use dictionaries/iPads to research definitions and create a glossary.
We will retrieve and record information from non-fiction to write an opinion piece – which is the best way to produce electricity and why. We will plan to write a similar version of the story.
We will continue our unit of ‘Calculating fractions and decimals’. We will add and subtract fractions with the same denominator within one whole [for example, 5/7 + 1/7 = 6/7]
As Technologists, we’ll be working in teams to make a house with lighting and a door buzzer. If possible please could you send any cardboard boxes and any other materials your child thinks they could use to make their house. As International learners, we’ll be finding out how we produce electricity in our country.
We will understand computer networks including the internet; how they can provide multiple services, such as the world wide web; and the opportunities they offer for communication and collaboration. We will focus on internet safety.
