Overview of Learning
Although the end of year is almost in sight, the Reception children continue to work hard and exceed expectations. The children continue to embrace the Rainbow Challenges, persevering to ensure that they complete each of the six challenges throughout the week independently. This week children have been matching rhyming words, using a range of materials and tools to create something, using their fine motor skills to thread pasta to make a caterpillar, following instructions to draw a butterfly, sequencing images to create a life cycle of a butterfly and reading words and sorting them into real and silly made up words! Next week we will continue with our Rainbow Challenges, setting new tasks to challenge and engage the children. We will be working on transition activities to prepare and support the children for their move into Year 1. The children are very much looking forward to their end of year party on Thursday and it promises to be lots of fun with yummy food and party games.
