Message from Primary

Dear Parents,

We may only have been in school for three days, but in Early Years and Primary we have still managed to cram a variety of activities into this short week.

Our PN1 and PN2 students enjoyed their very own teddy bear’s picnic yesterday, which not only included the picnic, but also some fun games and activities with their teachers and parents. There were lots of smiles and laughter as our youngest students enjoyed spending time with their parents, proudly demonstrating their developing sporting skills.

Yesterday, we were also treated to 2A’s Class Assembly, in which the children confidently shared the highlights of their year with us. We found out all about the topics they had covered throughout the year as well as which ones were their personal favourites. As we didn’t have our regular Stars of the Week, we took the opportunity to celebrate a group of children who were awarded certificates for the support they have given Mrs McCullough and Mrs Cartwright in the Learning Centre throughout this year. We also celebrated the achievement of Dagna Jezioro who came 3rd place in a Chinese Writing Competition hosted by Ping He Bilingual School. To end our assembly we celebrated the recent achievements of our Primary FOBISIA Squad. This was the first time that the rest of the Primary School had had the opportunity to applaud the whole team and see the medals and trophies that they had won. I think it definitely inspired our younger students and I’m sure we have some future FOBISIA stars in the making.

As we come to the end of the week, the fun doesn’t stop yet, for this evening is our long awaited Year 3 Campout. At the time of writing, my office is full of tents just waiting to be constructed and the sun has gradually appeared throughout the morning. I am sure we are in for an exciting evening! Watch this space next week to see how we got on!

Have a lovely weekend,

Lisa Passante
