Christopher obtained a BA in Primary Education at Curtin University in Perth, Australia and immediately moved to Indonesia where he started his international teaching career in the year 2000. Since then, he has worked in countries all over the world, including India, Switzerland, Australia, Spain and Egypt. Christopher has experience teaching at different year levels in the primary and middle school and also enjoys getting involved in all spheres of school life, particularly working with students of all age groups through the House System, Student Leadership and programmes focused on sports or outdoor pursuits such as the International Award.
Christopher and his wife, also a teacher, have been at NAIS Pudong for 3 years now and have loved living in South East Asia, a region of the world where they both grew up and of which they are very fond. They have loved the opportunity of exploring both China and the many countries that surround it. They have also loved living in Shanghai, China, one of the fastest growing economies in the world.
Christopher is Swiss by nationality; however, has a Swiss father and a Singaporean mother. He moved with his family to Indonesia as a child and studied at the Jakarta International School before moving to Perth, Australia to attend Guildford Grammar School to complete his senior years. Both from international backgrounds, and both third culture kids, Christopher and his wife have had the opportunity to travel the world and learn about its many different cultures. As a result of his travels, he has developed a love for cooking, trekking and hiking and all sports to do with the ocean. Christopher is also passionate about really getting to know the new country he calls home!
