English Teacher and Key Stage 3 Leader
Anna studied English Language and Literature at Oxford University and subsequently completed her PGCE teaching qualification at Cambridge University. Since then, she has taught in London schools for 11 years, holding positions including Head of English and Senior Academic Mentor for the sixth form at a large and challenging school in south-east London. Anna very much enjoys the exciting new opportunities offered by the school, and working with such enthusiastic and positive students. Anna also runs a critical thinking class for our Oxbridge students lower down the school where she encourages the development of critical approaches to problems in the light of the challenges faced by students wishing to attend the world's top universities. In addition to this, Anna is also part of the IB team and coordinates the school's Extended Essay course.
Anna is a keen singer and particularly enjoys classical choral singing; having performed in choirs since the age of 11, she is delighted to have recently joined the Shanghai International Choral League and to be singing in a performance of Handel’s Messiah. Anna also very much enjoys cooking and swimming.
