Staff Profile: Susan Lynn Robertson

Susan Robertson

Year 1 Class Teacher

Susan qualified from the University of Paisley, Scotland as a primary teacher in June 2005. Since then she has taught mainly in the Early Years setting in Scotland. In August 2013, Susan moved to Spain where she taught for one year as an Early Years teacher. This gave her valuable experience of working with EAL children. In August 2014, Susan moved to Egypt where she taught a Reception class for one and a half years. She decided to move to Shanghai with her family because she wanted to teach in a Nord Anglia school and BISS Puxi looks like a wonderful community to be a part of.

Susan is a very dedicated classroom practitioner who meets the needs of every individual child in her care. She has several years’ experience of teaching young children and does so in a stimulating and active manner. Susan is very friendly and approachable to all staff, parents and children.

From a young age, Susan has always wanted to teach. She is at her best when teaching children and feels very fulfilled at seeing all they can achieve. Susan enjoys travelling with her family and loves spending time with her husband and two daughters. She is very excited about living in China and looks forward to all of the new experiences that await her. Susan and her family enjoy learning new languages and are thrilled to have the opportunity to learn Mandarin.
