Anthony spent four years studying Primary Education at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, where he obtained his BA (hons) degree. Following his studies, Anthony worked around Glasgow and developed both his teaching and leadership skills with a particular focus on Outdoor Learning and Cooperative Learning.
Anthony developed a passion for travelling and was eager to enhance his practice by working in an international sector. It was then that he decided to work in the Middle East and started teaching in an Outstanding British School for the past six years.
Keen to experience different year groups, Anthony worked in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and took on a Curriculum Leader role, leading Humanities and Social Studies from Foundation Stage to Year 6.
Anthony then took on Year Leader roles in Year 2, Year 3 and Year 5. Following this, he was made a member of the Senior Leadership Team. His role included various responsibilities such as leading a learning model across the school and designing and leading a Concept Curriculum. Anthony was honoured to receive the Marianna Varkey Award for the ‘Primary Teacher of the Year 2018’.
