Holly gained a 2:1 (hons) in Geography (BA) from the University of Manchester in 2012 and then her PGDipEd from the University of Birmingham in 2013. She worked at an outstanding school in Birmingham, UK for three years where she developed her classroom practice, planned whole year group fieldtrips and assisted students on nine Duke of Edinburgh Expeditions. For the last two years Holly has been working at a different international school in Shanghai, establishing techniques for teaching students with English as a second language as well as being her own head of department and creating exciting and interesting schemes of work. Holly is passionate about promoting her subject and her love of Geography. She hopes to create a sense of awareness and wonder of the world and its issues for her students.
Holly is an enthusiastic traveller and relishes any opportunity she gets to visit and explore new places and cultures. She is also a keen netball player. Her experiences began at school, through to university and club level and has even helped set up a team here in Shanghai. She has also coached netball teams in England. Outside of sport and travelling, Holly is a passionate foodie. She loves trying new food, from local places to fine dining restaurants.
