Having studied History at King’s College London, Rebecca went on to complete her teacher training at the London Institute of Education. She then worked in several of the top state schools in London, including Latymer Grammar School, Fortismere and the London Oratory School. Rebecca enjoys working at BISS Puxi and feels it is an exciting place to work, with great staff and pupils.
Rebecca aims to create challenging but engaging lessons for students of all abilities. In addition to teaching History, she has specialised in teaching EAL students. Many of the pupils she worked with in London spoke English as their second language and History requires very sophisticated language skills. She is very grateful for this experience, as this meant she could diversify her role. Since working at BISS Puxi, Rebecca has had many opportunities such as teaching Theory of Knowledge, running Model United Nations and the International Award trips.
Rebecca has a wide range of interests, such as reading classical literature, running, skiing and exploring new places in Shanghai and everywhere else! She loves to walk (or run) around Shanghai and find hidden gems that are tucked away. She is on a mission to make everyone see the historical charm and beauty of Shanghai.
